The ERWEKA Granulate & Powder Flow Tester, Type GTB, combines the functions of determination of the knowledge of the important flow properties with the measurement of the angle of repose:
Determination of the flow time of a pre-set sample weight (DAB 10)
Determination of the flow time of a pre-defined sample volume
Determination of the weight which flows in a pre-defined time
Plot of flow time against sample weight in the form of a graph
Angle Measurement of the powder- or granulate cone by a laser sensor according to Pfrengle (angle of repose)
For determination of the angle of repose the sample is passing through a funnel located at a predefined height above a circular plate thus forming a gravimetric cone. The angle of this gravimetric formed cone is determined optically (laser) and documented.
Where samples exhibit poor flowability, the hopper is available with a stirring device with variable speed control.
The GTB is handled by alpha-numeric membrane keypad, results are shown at the illuminated 320 Digit 16-line full-graphic LC display.
As standard the unit is delivered with a stainless steel hopper (480 ml) and three stainless steel outlet nozzles (10; 15; 25 mm) which can be exchanged by a quick coupling. Additional stainless steel hoppers (100; 200 ml) and outlet nozzles (6; 8; 11.3 mm) are available as option.
The GTB comes with serial RS 232 and parallel printer interface for transfer and print-out of results.
Accessoires / Qualification
For products with poor floability ERWEKA offers an optional stirring device for the GTB. This sirring devices includes a special shaped stirrer, the speed of the stirrer is adjustable by the programme menu. Installation Qualification and Operation Qualification handbooks as well as an Operation Qualification Tool Kit are available for the ERWEKA GTB.
The OQ Tool-Kit comprises of all needed instruments including a PVC cone to check the accuracy of the laser measurement device for the angle of repose.
