The USP method 4 is the perfect dissolution application for tablets, suppositories, granules, pellets, implants and other dosage forms which require:

• more than 1000 ml of media to dissolve
• less than 250 ml of media to dissolve
• multiple media change (up to 4 times automatically)
• long duration test runs due to the absence of evaporation

The ERWEKA USP 4 system includes a 100% USP compliant piston pump that delivers the dissolution media with an accuracy of +/- 5% within the complete specified media delivery range of 2.00 – 32.00 ml/min. at 120 strokes/min. In case lower or higher media quantities are required, then the number of strokes/min. may be adjusted between 25 and 200 rpm to achieve media delivery from approx. 0.35 - 50.0 ml/min.

The ERWEKA Flow-Though-Cell offers the possibility to run each test-station (cell) individually: each cell can be opened and closed independently from the others (option).

A “Closed-Loop” as well as a “Open-Loop” system is available, with and without a Fraction Collector to collect an average of the flow-through-media.
