ERWEKA presents itself – Today with Sebastian Müller
In today´s interview of our series “ERWEKA presents itself”, we would like to introduce our colleague
Mr. Sebastian Müller.
To learn more about his everyday working life at ERWEKA and his person, we have asked Mr. Müller a few questions.
Mr. Müller, you have started to work for ERWEKA in March 2011. What´s your profession at ERWEKA?
I am working in the development department responsible for firmware, software and hardware tests.
What´s your job about?
The development department is separated into different areas. I am working in our own test department, where I am responsible for testing firmware, hardware and software. We mainly perform firmware tests, which are usually conducted due to the further development of a device. The programmer creates a new firmware, which I put to the acid test. During this beta phase, all issues are identified and everything is documented and evaluated later on. Either the release is recommended or further improvements are carried out by the programmer. This process is repeated until a validation based on a test plan can be performed.
What´s your background? What have you been doing before you have started to work at ERWEKA?
Before I have joined ERWEKA I worked as a mechatronics engineer for a mechanical engineering company, with focus on special machine construction. There I had a broad range of tasks from programming and wiring up to assembly and process optimization.
What do you appreciate most about ERWEKA?
I really appreciate that I have the possibility to fulfill my passion for technology. I have a great freedom to operate, I can organize myself and I have a broad field of activities from the theoretical work up to the prototype construction. Nowadays the customer expects innovative solutions, which we provide. Being a part of it, makes me really happy!
What do you like to do in your leisure time?
One of my favorite hobbies is technology. Motorsport is my passion. I spend a lot of time working on my bike at home. As I have recently become a father, my young family is a great hobby, too.
Three words, which describe yourself?
Punctual. Structured. Humorous.
Mr. Müller, thanks for the interview and I wish you further success for the future at ERWEKA.
