To learn more about his everyday working life at ERWEKA and his person, we have asked Mr. Bozkurt a few questions.

Mr. Bozkurt, you have started to work for ERWEKA in September 1987. This means you have been with ERWEKA for almost 30 years now. What´s your profession at ERWEKA?

I am head of Design and Development.

What´s your job about?

We are responsible for the whole mechanical design and development of the devices. This is a very extensive process, which starts with an idea about a new device or the optimization of a product. Together with colleagues from other departments the idea is being matured so that a concept is gradually developed. Then the design and development department creates the drawings. During the development process prototypes are built and tested, whereby initially the drawings and then the product are continually improved until the final device emerges. In the meantime, the parts lists are created in our system. Once the development process is finished, the manual is created in collaboration with the technical editing.

What´s your background? What have you been doing before you have started to work for ERWEKA?

I have completed a training as a machine fitter at Daimler-Benz. After my training, I started my studies as a mechanical engineer. In 1987 I finished my studies and began working for ERWEKA.

What do you appreciate most about ERWEKA?

I really appreciate the multiplicity of tasks. I also have the freedom to contribute and produce my own ideas. At ERWEKA every day brings new challenges and every day is different. For me that is the special feature about ERWEKA.

What do you like to do in your leisure time?

I spend a lot of time together with my family. In addition, I like reading books or doing gardening work together with my wife.

Three things, that you would take with you to a desert island?

A knife, a notebook with a pen and a toolbox.

Mr. Bozkurt, thanks for the interview and I wish you further success for the future at ERWEKA.
