Start of construction at ERWEKA in Langen

With the groundbreaking, the start of construction of the new company building of the ERWEKA GmbH was celebrated last Friday.

On the new property at Pittlerstraße 45 in Langen the construction phase has been officially initiated with the traditional groundbreaking. On this occasion the managing partners of the ERWEKA GmbH, Mr. Werner G. Müller and Mrs. Claudia Müller, together with the responsible architect Ms. Marianna Moschella welcomed many guests of the city of Langen, including the mayor of Langen, Mr. Frieder Gebhardt, city council, Mr. Stefan Löbig, department manager of city development, Mr. Joachim Kolbe as well as the managing director of the public utility Langen, Mr. Manfred Pusdrowski.

The four-story building with a floor space of 4.700 square meters will be built on a 7.000 square meters site area in the coming months, including 2.200 square meters for the production of high-quality tablet test equipment. For heating supply a cogeneration unit will be established on the property.

Numerous invited guests, including representatives of the financing partner Frankfurter Sparkasse, ERWEKA employees and specialist planners watched the first cut of the spade by the builders together with the architect Ms. Moschella, the mayor of Langen, Mr. Gebhardt, as well as works council member of ERWEKA, Mr. Annacker.

The anticipation for the new site in Langen is growing. “With this groundbreaking, we are looking forward to herald a new era of ERWEKA”, emphasizes Mrs. Müller. “The new building will offer enough space for further growth and will expand our leading market position.”
